Terms of Service

1. Service Description

GetUkAddress provides a RESTful API service for looking up postal addresses within the United Kingdom. The service allows users to query addresses by postcode and retrieve structured address data suitable for integration into applications, websites, and business systems.

Access to the API is provided on a subscription basis through various plans, each offering different daily request limits and features. Users must register an account, subscribe to a plan, and use API keys to authenticate their requests.

2. Acceptable Use

By using this service, you agree to:

• Use the API only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• Not attempt to circumvent rate limiting, authentication, or other security measures.
• Not resell, redistribute, or sublicense API access without prior written consent.
• Not use the service to harvest, scrape, or bulk-download address data for offline storage beyond reasonable caching needs.
• Keep your API keys confidential and not share them with unauthorised third parties.
• Not send requests that are designed to overload, disrupt, or degrade the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user found to be in violation of these terms without prior notice.

3. Payment Terms

We accept payments in GBP (British Pounds) via card (processed by Stripe) and in USDT (Tether) on the TRC-20 network (processed by OxaPay). By making a payment, you agree to the following:

• No Refunds: All payments are final and non-refundable. Card payments are subject to Stripe's dispute process. Cryptocurrency payments cannot be reversed once confirmed on the blockchain.
• Subscription Auto-Expiry: Subscriptions are valid for the purchased billing cycle (monthly or yearly). Subscriptions do not auto-renew. When your subscription expires, API access will be suspended until a new subscription is purchased.
• Payment Window: Cryptocurrency invoices must be paid within 30 minutes of creation. Unpaid invoices will expire and a new invoice must be generated. Card payments are processed immediately.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Active subscriptions will not be affected until their expiry date.
• Currency: GBP prices are charged as displayed. USDT prices are denominated in USD equivalent. You are responsible for any network fees, exchange rate differences, or card processing fees charged by your payment provider.

4. Rate Limiting

Each subscription plan includes a daily request limit. Requests exceeding the daily limit will receive an HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) response. Daily limits reset at midnight UTC.

We may impose additional rate limits (e.g., requests per second) to ensure fair usage and service stability. Abuse of the service through excessive request rates may result in temporary or permanent suspension.

5. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the address data returned by the API.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GetUkAddress and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from or related to the use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
